Mobile Symmetry Helps You Take Control of Your Mobile Identity January 5, 2010

Mobile Symmetry solves the first set of problems produced by a mobile-only world:
- How do you find someone?
- How can you control the way others interact with you?
- How much information can I obtain prior to saying Hello?
Mobile Symmetry creates an independent, unbiased, multicarrier database that is populated, branded and sold by carriers but controlled and maintained by individual users.
We create an “Identity Vault” which orchestrates the SEARCH, CONTROL and DISPLAY of contact information.

Many of you have reached this site through the various search engines that continue to show try.mobilesymmetry.com as our primary web address. Since the beginning of the year, however, we have been firmly on www.mobsym.com or www.mobilesymmetry.com.
Registering for an account is very easy – just have your mobile phone handy as we will send one verification text. That’s the total cost for you to register – one text message. No ads, no bots following you around, and no charge for our Android (and soon to follow Blackberry) applications.
The Android app can be found here. Yes, it’s a 1.0 version, but it provides free caller identification for every Mobile Symmetry member who has a public profile. For the Caller ID to work, you need to have a T-Mobile or AT&T Android phone running Android 1.6 or higher, or you need to have a 4G Android phone from Sprint or Verizon.
We are going to expand the number of contacts you can have (as communications options are increasing every day) and also going to expand the Calling Name database. There’s a lot of moving and changing going on, and you benefit.
Join the contact revolution today. Search, share, and see your mobile world. Try Mobile Symmetry.

Friday’s article in The Wall Street Journal shows just how close the carriers are to being regulated for not providing correct identity. The Mobile Symmetry product provides a secure alternative to contacting others, one that protects privacy. Time to act now, carriers, so we can get on with more pressing issues.

Thanks again for the continued support. We are growing daily, although we are still in need of a few Beta testers. Those who have signed up will get the first chance to build their customized identities. We will also complete our Android development soon, so if you have an Android device and can test – all the better!
Whether you are participating as a Beta tester or not, we’d like your feedback by taking our weekly poll. This week’s poll question is:
Thanks again for your help and interest! We welcome your comments and requests for information at info@mobilesymmetry.com.

I was posting my latest article on the industry to LinkedIn, and noticed that Jeff Mucci, the publisher of Arden Media (who owns RCR Wireless), changed his mobile number. He wanted his LinkedIn friends know that his number had changed. (Yes, we received Jeff’s permission to list this prior to posting). If he had Mobile Symmetry, he could have updated his entry and, since the SEARCH function does not display the actual number but does display MOBILE, no one would have to know that he had actually changed the number. How many times do we go through the Contact List maintenance function each day? Let’s use the cloud to improve our productivity! Please – help make this a reality by signing up for our trial!

Welcome to the Mobile Symmetry web site, where improving your mobile experience is our goal. Our excitement to bring you new mobile applications grows from an ever changing mobile centric world. Our first application, Calling Name, focuses on what uniquely identifies you. This service gives you privacy, and allows you to determine how and when to extend more detailed information to others. We also incorporated the SEARCH, CONTROL and DISPLAY abilities to help you identify those calling you. All because we understand the importance of being found when you need to be, and invisible when you don’t.
I encourage you to check back frequently to view “what’s next” on the Mobile Symmetry horizon. I welcome your feedback on how Mobile Symmetry can best serve you on our current, and any future applications. Please go to our sign up form above to receive information on our upcoming Beta test.
